This place that he had come to call home lately was becoming more familiar to him. Gwen was busy again, which was a shame, he left Walter home to look after the Manor with the rest of his Pokemon. There was some shopping he needed to do, so with Adontis on his shoulder they headed to the shopping district. A few people waved to them, as he came here often, and was a regular for a few of the food carts that lined the street. Walking easily, carefree as always all of the business he had to attend to, was already taken care of, he was just waiting for the summer festivities to begin. Lost in thought on when he was going to start his Journey to collect all the badges, and take his chance at becoming the Champion of the region.

He wondered if he would receive many challenges after that, if it would still help promote his growth, or if he would be past that point by then. How long could he continue to grow stronger...What would he do when he achieved his dream? These were all questions that often crossed his mind. That was when he felt a gentle pressure against him as he had bumped into someone during his thoughts, and knocked them on their behind. Embarrassed, and with a slight color on his cheeks he looked down at the girl who had a similar complexion to him, and hair that was white like snow.

"Oh my...I am so sorry Miss...I wasn't paying attention...!" He apologized, and extended one of his hands for her to grasp on to, so he could help her up should she take it. "I um...I normally am more attentive than this, I am so sorry..." He apologized again. He had a lot on his mind lately, thinking about a great many things, and this time that had come to bite him in the rear. Adontis on the other hand was snickering a little at his trainers misfortune, but he was doing his best to hide it.

He could make fun of him for it later when there weren't so many people around, but for now he watched his silver haired trainer, try to help the white haired girl, noting that in this place there were many people who resembled his trainer. Adontis tapped his little red cheek wondering if they were all related, or family, that is what made the most sense to him.

The girl seemed amicable enough at his apology, and he just smiled at her, nodding. That was good she didn't hold any grudges at least that is what he thought. Thinking for a moment since he was out, and about as an apology he could take her out to something to eat, and drink. Due to their similar appearance it would look a big brother, and younger sister out together so he wouldn't get any weird looks.

"Here to make up for my clumsiness...Would you like to grab some coffee, and a snack with me? Adontis here is a bit of a glutton?" His smile was genuine when he asked her that, and he waited for her answer as he searched the street they were on in order to find the nearest little cafe. Thankfully there wasn't wrong that far away, and his little Pichu perked up at the the thought of getting something sweet this early in the day. Typically Amor was mean, and made him wait until after dinner for sweets of any kind.

A hand in his pocket as he waited for the snow haired girl, and then realized that he hadn't introduced himself to her at all. His manners were out the window today though considering all the business he had been doing lately, he was just a tad fatigued from it all. It was hard putting his best foot forward all the time with having no time to really relax, or unwind. For him it had just been one thing after another, though that wasn't necessarily a bad thing.

"Ah before I forget...I am Amor, and the little one on my shoulder I already said who, but he is Adontis." he chuckled gently, and reached up to pet his Pichu affectionately. Perhaps today wouldn't be such a bad day after all.

When she accepted his offer for treating her to something for knocking her over he smiled in his charming way, and began to make his way over to a little cafe. Listening to the girl as they walked, as she explained that she was from Sinnoh as well, and he quirked a curious brow. Of course he figured that there would be others from his birth region here, he just hadn't expected to run into any so soon. Though that wasn't a bad thing necessarily, still he couldn't help, but smile a little more when she asked him where he was from. That was a complicated question, with an even more complicated answer. He was half Kalosian thanks to his mother, and he had lived there after he left Sinnoh, but that was a story for another time.

"I'm from a few places actually...But to keep it simple I am originally from Sinnoh as well..." his teal eyes turning to look at her. "I do sometimes miss home...But the Pidgey has to leave the nest eventually..." He stated as they finally got to the cafe, and he took one of the tables that were outside, and motioned for her to sit across from him so they could converse better. Adontis was hopping on his shoulder with joy at the thought of being here, the sweet biscuits that they had were quite wonderful, and he was excited to eat them again.

When the waiter came to take their orders Amor had to think on that for a moment.

"Give me one of those Smore Latte things I had the last time I was here...As for my little friend here...Lemonade, two baskets of sweet biscuits, and whatever the Lady across from me wants." He spoke to the server easily, and waited for the girl to place her order, after all it didn't really matter what she ordered he could afford it easily enough. "So what brings you here from Sinnoh?" He tilted his head curiously at the girl who was in his company, Violet she had said her name was.

She looked like someone like him who came from a family with status, but she didn't seem keen on flaunting it not that he cared. People who didn't brag, or have to show off how good they were at something, were often the best kind of people, so he could respect the female in front of him for that alone.

She explained that her preference was to Starly rather than Pidgey, and he wasn't going to begrudge her choice, he just preferred Pidgeot to Staraptor was all. It didn't take long for their orders to be filled, and their sweets, and drinks were set down in front of them. Picking up his Smore flavored coffee he took a happy sip of it, and Adontis was happily nomming the sweet biscuits that had been proffered to him. Silently he sat there, and simply listened to her explain that she was on sabbatical from her studies, it wasn't uncommon for those who were in school to travel abroad for at least one semester, or two to learn a bit more about the world.

"I see...That is quite interesting, what are you studying exactly?" He set his drink down, and took one of the sweet biscuits off the still full plate that Adontis would never get to with his tiny tummy. Eating it gingerly as he just tried to learn more about this girl. "And I do agree, it is very hard to stop learning, especially when there are so many new things around to figure out, and experience for the first time." finishing up the biscuit he took another drink of his coffee, and just sat back studying the surrounding area briefly. It was a nice morning, and this was a delightful way to spend it.

"It's nice to just enjoy the morning..." He stated absently reaching over to scratch behind Adontis's ears. The little Pichu cooed happily.

Ah so she was a literature student, that would make sense to some degree, each region had different information, and if you were to study such a thing, to travel around made a ton of sense, at least to him. A nice girl with a love of knowledge there was something about that he could respect, nodding as he took another sip of his coffee, he listened to her next words quirking a brow curiously. When she mentioned that mornings were nice, but night time was more interesting. While he would agree, he didn't know her reasonings for it, and he wasn't going to say something that might put her off. It was as if she had just handed him a loaded grenade, and was daring him to pull the pin.

"Night is interesting yes...If only because of the things you can do when it falls." He didn't elaborate further, and instead turned his attention to Adontis when she asked if he had hatched it himself. Nodding to her, he pet Adontis lovingly. "I did...He is my best friend, and is normally always perched on my shoulder. I wouldn't trade him for anything in the world." He looked genuinely happy as he ruffled the fur on his partners forehead. "And yes he is incredibly hungry...Always I think he is going through a bit of a growth spurt, he might evolve any day now." He explained to her, and turned his teal eyes back to meet her blues.

"While it isn't literature I would recommend the museum, it's got plenty of interesting things someone who is still in school might enjoy learning about." He smiled at her, and leisurely leaned back in his chair.

The girl went on to explain that she had recently hatched her first Pokemon as well, and that it had turned out to be a Rattata, though he wondered if it was an Alolan one, or not. Though he didn't press her further, as she changed the subject back to school, and asked him if he had already finished his university. A gentle smile crossed his lips as he thought on that. There was an easy answer to that, Amor had never gone to an official school, He taught himself everything he knew, by just learning via trial, and error. Being smart, and resourceful were things that you couldn't learn from a stuffy school. Though she didn't need to know that, nodding at her he confirmed her suspicion.

"Indeed I have...A while ago actually, it feels a lot longer than it has been, but yeah. I studied abroad for many years, going from region to region learning all that I could, before finishing up, and then moving here." He explained to her, and while it wasn't technically a lie, it wasn't the whole truth either. Though she didn't need to know that. Taking another sip of his coffee, he placed another biscuit into his mouth, and devoured it quickly. "I was studying business, economics, and legends...The last one is sorely out of place, but I've always enjoyed learning more about the myths of each region. They are all incredibly unique, though you can find some similarities." he explained to her as he looked up at the sky.

Of course his ultimate goal was to track down one of the legendary dragons, and tame it for himself, the one he had in particular was a Sinnoh native. The Dragon of Time, that was the one he had set his sights on, though whether or not he would ever actually meet it, he had no clue.

When she mentioned that his first two interests were merely a means to an end for the last one, she wasn't entirely wrong. Amor did use those skills in order to fund his more dogged interest in searching for the myths, and legends of the land. Though of course he never expected to meet them on his own terms, they were elusive creatures after all, but that didn't mean he wasn't going to try. Though when she began to speak about most people not wanting to merely study them, he had to admit that she was right, his previous thoughts made that fact if nothing else. A gentle chuckle left his lips, and he nodded to her.

"You're not entirely wrong...My dream is to meet a certain Dragon, and maybe convince it to work with me. That is my dream to become the ultimate Dragon Master, and what better way to prove it than to work with a Dragon Legend itself." He nodded to her. It wasn't a lie in the slightest the look he had on his face when he spoke about it was more akin to a young boy who was staring starry eyed at the world. There was no facade there, just a young boys genuine dream, that he hadn't forgotten as he got older.

Of course the other reason he wanted to meet that certain Legendary was to ask him, why? Why was he allowed to live when everyone else died? Why was it that he had to lose his home, his parents, and everything else, but was forced to live? Why? What kind of God would do that, or maybe he didn't care, that was the more likely option. However it still didn't matter, Amor was going to meet him, and he was going to ask his questions. One way or the other.
